Readiness assessment

Executive Coaching that begins with honest diagnosis

Most coaching engagements fail because they start with solutions. Ours begins with a structured readiness conversation — a candid exploration of whether coaching is the right intervention, or whether something else would serve you better.

82% of our coaching enquiries proceed to engagement — because we filter for genuine fit before we begin.

If you are a senior leader facing a transition, a performance plateau, or a strategic inflection point, Executive Coaching at Clarity Leadership Hub may be the catalyst you need. But we will never assume that before we have listened.

The coaching framework

Our approach draws on three decades of organisational psychology research and practical leadership development. We do not follow a rigid programme. Instead, we work within a flexible framework that adapts to each leader's context, challenges, and aspirations.

Dimension Focus area Typical outcomes
Strategic clarity Decision architecture, priority setting, vision articulation Faster, more confident strategic choices with broader stakeholder alignment
Relational influence Board dynamics, team calibration, difficult conversations Stronger trust networks and reduced friction in senior relationships
Personal resilience Energy management, cognitive load, emotional regulation Sustained high performance without the hidden cost of burnout
Transitional leadership Role transitions, organisational change, succession readiness Smoother transitions with maintained credibility and momentum

Each dimension is explored through a combination of structured dialogue, reflective exercises, and real-time application to live business challenges. We measure progress not through abstract metrics but through observable shifts in how you lead.

The most valuable thing wasn't the advice — it was having someone who could see the patterns I was too close to notice.

How an engagement unfolds

No two coaching journeys are identical, but every engagement follows a deliberate arc that ensures depth without drift.

Initial conversation (complimentary)

A 45-minute exploratory call to understand your context, assess fit, and determine whether coaching is the right path forward. No commitment, no pressure.

Diagnostic deep-dive

A structured assessment combining 360-degree feedback, psychometric insight, and stakeholder interviews. This creates a baseline that grounds the entire engagement in evidence rather than assumption.

Coaching sessions

Fortnightly 90-minute sessions — either virtual or face-to-face — focused on the themes that matter most. Between sessions, you work with targeted reflections and experiments designed to embed new habits.

Mid-point review

A structured checkpoint to evaluate progress, recalibrate goals, and ensure the engagement remains aligned with your evolving reality.

Integration and close

The final phase focuses on sustaining change independently. We create a personal leadership operating system that you carry forward long after the coaching concludes.

A case in practice

A newly appointed chief executive of a mid-sized professional services firm came to us six weeks into her role. She had inherited a leadership team with deep expertise but fractured trust. Board expectations were high, and the previous CEO had left under difficult circumstances.

Over nine months of coaching, we worked through three interconnected challenges: rebuilding psychological safety within the executive team, establishing her own leadership identity distinct from her predecessor, and developing a strategic narrative that could unite the organisation around a shared direction.

By the end of the engagement, voluntary attrition in the senior team had dropped significantly, the board reported markedly higher confidence in executive alignment, and the CEO described feeling "like I finally own this role rather than performing it."

9 months from fragmented leadership to a cohesive executive team operating with shared purpose.

Who this is for — and who it isn't

This is for you if…

You hold a senior leadership role and face decisions with genuine complexity. You are willing to be challenged. You want lasting behavioural change, not a motivational boost. You are ready to invest time and honesty in the process.

This may not be right if…

You are looking for a quick fix or a prescriptive programme. You need skills training rather than leadership development. You are not in a position to commit to regular sessions over several months. In these cases, we will suggest better alternatives.

Working principles

Confidentiality is absolute

Everything discussed in coaching stays within the coaching relationship. We do not report back to sponsors, boards, or HR departments without your explicit agreement on exactly what is shared.

Challenge with care

Effective coaching requires honesty. We will name what we see, question assumptions, and push you beyond comfortable patterns — but always within a relationship built on trust and respect.

Evidence over intuition

We ground our work in research and data wherever possible. Psychometric tools, stakeholder feedback, and structured reflection ensure that progress is real, not imagined.

Sustainability over dependency

Our goal is to make ourselves unnecessary. Every engagement is designed to build your capacity for self-coaching so that the benefits endure long after our work together ends.

Investment and commitment

Executive Coaching is a significant investment of time, attention, and financial resource. We discuss fees openly during the initial conversation, and they reflect the depth, rigour, and seniority of the work involved.

Typical engagements range from six to twelve months. Sessions are scheduled fortnightly, with flexibility for travel, board cycles, and the unpredictable demands of senior leadership. We offer both individual and organisational billing arrangements.

We do not publish fixed pricing because every engagement is bespoke. What we can tell you is that our fees are competitive with established UK executive coaching practices, and we are transparent about costs from the very first conversation.

Begin a conversation

Share a few details and we will arrange a complimentary exploratory call. No obligation, no sales pitch — just an honest conversation about whether coaching is the right step for you.

Frequently asked questions

How is executive coaching different from mentoring or consulting?

Coaching focuses on developing your capacity to think, decide, and lead more effectively. Unlike mentoring, we do not offer advice based on our own career experience. Unlike consulting, we do not deliver solutions to business problems. Instead, we help you develop the clarity and capability to solve them yourself.

Can coaching be funded by my organisation?

Yes. Many of our clients are sponsored by their organisations. We work with HR and talent teams to establish appropriate contracting arrangements while maintaining the confidentiality of the coaching relationship.

What qualifications do your coaches hold?

Our coaches hold accreditations from recognised bodies including the International Coaching Federation and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. Beyond credentials, each coach brings substantial experience working with senior leaders in complex organisational environments.

What happens if the coaching relationship isn't working?

We address this directly during contracting. If at any point you feel the relationship is not productive, we will discuss it openly and, if necessary, transition you to a different coach or conclude the engagement. Fit matters more than persistence.
